A guard-gated community of 590 homes among 299 acres of lakes and waterfalls, with a 17,000-square-foot clubhouse and no club membership to buy.
The Bridges sits on the east side of Lyons Road in west Delray Beach, between Lyons Road and Florida's Turnpike, with a 33446 Delray Beach address. Directly across Lyons Road is its newer sibling, Seven Bridges, also built by GL Homes. Delray Marketplace, with its restaurants, shops and movie theater, is about five minutes north at Lyons Road and Atlantic Avenue.
GL Homes began building The Bridges in 2012. Its 590 homes are arranged in eight subdivisions around 299 acres of lakes and waterfalls, and you arrive over the arched stone bridge at the entrance that gives the community its name. The gatehouse is staffed around the clock, with roving security patrols. The association is professionally managed, with property managers based in the clubhouse and a social calendar that runs all year, since most owners live here full time.
Daily life centers on a clubhouse of more than 17,000 square feet. Inside are a restaurant with indoor dining and a covered patio, an elegant social hall with a catering kitchen for private events, a fitness center with a yoga studio, locker rooms and saunas, an indoor sports court for basketball and volleyball, card and game rooms and a children's room. Outside are a resort-style pool and spa with shaded cabanas, a children's pool, a playground and a party pavilion. Everything comes with the home through the homeowners association: there is no country club membership, initiation fee or equity, and no golf course.

Next to the clubhouse, the racquet center has six Har-Tru tennis courts and four pickleball courts, shaded courtside pavilions, a spectator area and a pro shop, with lessons, clinics and leagues for every level.
GL Homes offered The Bridges in four collections, Atlantic, Pacific, Coastal and Empire, from about 2,450 square feet of living space to more than 7,500. Most have private pools, and many sit on the lakes; the largest Empire models have six bedrooms, media and game rooms and four-car garages. County deed records show 36 arm's-length sales in the last 12 months, from $1.41M to $3.75M, with a median of $1.7M. See each collection and what each size of home has sold for on the floor plans page, and every home's estimated value on the 3D map.
Homeowners association dues cover the clubhouse and racquet center, the staffed gate and patrols, the common grounds and lakes, lawn care for each home and alarm monitoring. Recent listings show dues of roughly $817 to $860 a month, often billed quarterly; confirm the current figure and any capital contribution with the association before you buy. The community is pet-friendly within the association's rules.
Although The Bridges has a Delray Beach address, its homes are zoned for Boca Raton public schools, according to MLS records:
Confirm the assignment for a specific address with the School District of Palm Beach County, since boundaries can change. Private schools within about 15 to 25 minutes include American Heritage Delray, Saint Andrew's School and Pine Crest Boca Raton.
Florida's Turnpike is about five minutes away at Atlantic Avenue, and I-95 about 15 minutes east. Downtown Delray Beach and the beach are roughly 25 minutes away, and Mizner Park and downtown Boca Raton about 25 minutes. Boca Raton Airport is about 20 minutes, Palm Beach International about 35 minutes and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International about 45 minutes. Drive times are approximate and vary with traffic.
